Thirdverse Announces the Presentation of a New VR Title at TGS 2023. Also, the X8 University Invitational Tournament Will Be Held at the Pico Booth

We are pleased to announce that Thirdverse Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Hironao Kunimitsu) will participate in the "Tokyo Game Show 2023 (TGS2023)," which will be held at Makuhari Messe from September 21st (Thursday). At our booth, visitors will have the opportunity to experience our latest VR title ahead of anywhere else, featuring gripping action sequences, along with an unprecedented concept and world view. Additionally, we will host both an Esports tournament and a hands-on experience of our VR multiplayer hero shooter "X8," which is currently in early access (both the tournament and the gameplay session will be available only on the 24th). Detailed information about both booths will be announced at a later date.

VR Multiplayer Hero Shooter X8

Players fight as unique Heroes with special abilities, activated through VR gestures, along with a variety of weapons. Divided into two teams of up to 5 players each, the attacking team sets up and detonates an explosive device called "Syphon" while the defending team fights to prevent it. Teams alternate between multiple rounds of offense and defense, each lasting 1 minute and 50 seconds.

X8 University Invitational Tournament

Ten Esports clubs from universities across Japan will compete in a tournament set in the VR multiplayer hero shooter game "X8." The final matches of the tournament will take place at the PICO booth of Tokyo Game Show 2023 on the last day of TGS, September 24th (Sunday). Additionally, a demo booth will be set up on the same day for everyone to join.
