Thirdverse, Inc. plans to join Gaming-Focused Blockchain ‘Oasys’ Project as Initial Validator

TOKYO, Japan - February 8, 2022

Thirdverse, Inc., Japanese developer of VR games, is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Oasys PTE.LTD. (Headquarters: Singapore, Representative Director: Ryo Matsubara), to begin operating the Validator Node (*1) of Oasys, a blockchain developed by the company.

Oasys is an EVM-compatible protocol that uses the proprietary "Oasys architecture" that combines Layer1 (Hub-Layer) and Layer2 (Verse-Layer) technologies.

Oasys and Thirdverse share a common Concept, that aims to realize a world of "VR x Metaverse"; for this reason, in this partnership, we are planning to participate as one of the companies responsible for the VR gaming and metaverse side.

Oasys Project Overview

Oasys is a gaming-focused blockchain project with the concept of "Blockchain for The Games".

With the latest Oasys architecture, we will provide gamers and game developers with a more comfortable playing and development environment by solving issues such as transaction fees, speed, and scalability that are faced when building blockchain games on existing blockchains.

This project is being led by experts in blockchain technology, working together with major game companies and blockchain technology companies as initial validators.

The Oasys system is based on PoS (Proof of Stake), which is an environmentally friendly system designed to both expand the ecosystem and address environmental issues.
